On January 21, 2022, the Online Ceremony of Global Business School Excellence Awards held by The Association of MBAs & The Business Graduates Association (AMBA&BGA) concluded successfully. Ming Li, an MBA alumnus of Business School of Central South University(CSU), was officially nominated for the 2022 MBA Leadership Award, which is the first time for Business School to declare and receive the only Leadership Award nomination in mainland China.
The MBA Leadership Award recognizes AMBA-recognized business schools for the outstanding achievements and impact of their graduates in the business community. As the 18th MBA Association President of CSU, Ming Li worked in several countries for more than 13 years before returning to Changsha to continue his career in international business. In addition to his commitment to developing import and export business, he has spared no effort to assist the government in strengthening the country’s international cooperation in economic and cultural areas. And he founded the Home Abroad Company to provide professional services for Sino-Africa economic and trade cooperation, which is an excellent platform for business matching between China and Africa recognized by the Secretariat of Sino-Africa Economic and Trade Expo Organizing Committee and Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce. The company’s Wechat public accounts already has 100,000+ followers.

Before the ceremony, Business School was invited to participate in the online forum of Best Practices and Capacity Building of 2022 China AMBA&BGA Business School Excellence Award. It was organized by Zhejiang University’s Global Entrepreneurship Research Center and the International Silk Road Alliance for Entrepreneurship Education, it aimed to invite the schools that were successfully nominated for this award to participate and focus on capacity building and action plans to exchange their experiences of being nominated. Prof. Ping Wei, Vice Dean of CSU Business School, Yi Jingzhang, Director of Professional Degree Education Center of CSU Business School, and all the staff of International Exchange and Accreditation Office of CSU Business School attended this forum.
In the forum, Director Yi shared the basic situation of MBA program of our school and the experience of award declaration. First, he introduced the accreditation status, enrollment, student quality, faculty and cultivation mode, among which, he focused on 1 core of cultivation mode (building first-class brand), 2 cycles (the big cycle of MBA program development and the small cycle of students’ own career development), 3 systems ( the system of on-campus curriculum teaching, “second classroom” and students’ activities) and 4 platforms (MBA association, alumni association, MBA tutors’ platform, off campus part-time tutors and practical training base platform). Then he introduced the declaration information of our alumnus Ming Li and shared the declaration experience, that is, the school attaches importance to the participation, makes efforts to create the atmosphere of participation and gives full play to the active role of MBA Association.
Through this declaration of Global Excellence Award and participation in the forum, CSU Business School will unceasingly strive for excellence, continue to innovate, and devote ourselves to creating a first-class MBA brand.
